A quick poll to gauge what the current feeling is. Are you thinking of moving over to another provider or are you happy where you are?

Sticking with CellC -
i renewed my 60Gb with them because:
1) i was able to get before price increase
2) i'm predicting the network will get better again because the same number of users won't resubscribe because of the price doubling.
3)8ta is a 2year contract & the people that leave cellC are probably going there - 8ta network slowing down worries me.
Atm speeds are better there than Cellc's tho.
Remains to be seen whether i'm right or wrong but will review again before the 8ta promotion ends

Defiantly leaving 8ta

Drawn in by the great price, I signed up last week. First time I connected was getting 7Mbps (was bragging to all my mates), that was day one. Since then I've been lucky to get over 0.8Mpbs.

Cancelled contract and went running back to cell C. A trust worthy 3-4 Mbps every time.
A little bit more expensive but worth it.

Options options options. Theres not much better to move to so our options are limited. Stay with a bad provider or move on the one thats worst. 4 Providers not much of a choice

Every time I think of moving I check out the other providers and find they're much more expensive.

I've got two line at cell c and I like to end one line. How can I end it? Plse help me.

[x] I'm sticking to Vodacom because there is no real alternative, so I'm stuck with them till such time there is one.

:edit
Besides they still have me on iContract for the time being, but when that is at end I might be re-looking at my options again.

Vodacom were actually the best IMO for many years. Not sure what happened to them :/

How to get a lot of customers if your a provider.

Create a bad wap gateway and let the people surf for free for a couple of months then close it. Works like a charm for MTN in Nigeria

Leaving VodaCom as soon as I can if there isn't an improvement or a (good) Android data deal by the time I have to renew my contract.

Reason: Price of data.

Lets see...

RedBull 200
phone: LG P970*
200 minutes
100 sms
500MB
R249

Vodacom smart 120s
phone: SE Xperia arc*
120 minutes(+20 weekend)
100 sms
500MB
R450

* other models available

So once the newness of the phone wears off, and it always does, you'll be stuck paying R200 extra for less minutes on vodacom...

Boy they give crap phones away

I only change networks when my phone gets lost/stolen or someone finds a broken wap gateway on one.
Agree with the Vodacom thing. Anyone remember Vlive still?
Phone in
Ask them to enable the Vlive apn on your sim
Free wap
Then some guys got clever with PC's and network tunnelers. 6 months later it was all over lol

These sorts of questions are always tricky as our expectations exceed our wants which exceed our needs.

But I do think there is a lot that can be offered to customers across the board from mobile networks.

One thought that really really gets to me is: 'Am I, at this exact moment while using my mobile operator, being ripped off?'

I don't therefore like to think about it :p

Ive been with MTN for more than 5 Years and Ive never had any problems well besides billing and that was sorted out
but the network is great and I left vodacom for mtn and will not look back even though they are more expensive
