Would this work for gaming it is 2499 ex vat

Any reasons why this won't work for gaming?

Rather get a Samsung i reckon.

Cool from where though? Hi fi corp? What price do you reckon? 2499 ex vat is pretty good but i don't want to buy cheap rubbish that won't work obviously :D but i also don't want to blow 5k on 32" that would work just fine at 3.2k

Perhaps i should go 40", what model should i go for? Something about the 5 series samsung i heard.

It's from esquire.

Dunno, I think I recall a thread about a 32" Samsung Going for R2500 at Game a while back, you will have to shop around.

40" seems to big for a monitor unless you sit far back.

I have the p2770h. Fantastic monitor although i think it has been replaced by the more expensive led variety now.

Can i just point out contrast ratios are useful as a butter knife in a chainsaw benchmark, for the vast majority of displays? Go here for info.

Exactly, LED backlit LCDs usually have higher dynamic contrasts because they're brighter. Brightness not many people would ever use. However, they do appear best under shop lighting...

Yea but for people who cannot afford 5k lg's and sony's i am sure it will be fine.
As long as, at minimum the TV has a 1:1 pixel mapping mode i.e. no overscan rescaling, otherwise the desktop sharpness & fonts are going to look terrible. A PC mode would be even better, which also sends a monitor not TV EDID to GPU driver, but usually this can be manually overriden.

Well if he is wanting to use it as a monitor i am not so sure it would be a good idea. I will do a bit of digging about telefunken and pc.

Another thing to watch out for is that it is actually 1920 x 1080 and not sold as a fhd but actually it's only 1024 x whatever :D

Was just wondering.. its a damn good price for a FHD 32".
