ICASA pounces on ArcelorMittal

Bliksems quick to pounce on the little guys, well done ICASA, proving once again you are an unyielding and effective force in South African telecommunication industry. Bravo!

In the grand scheme of things, pouncing on Arcelormittal for using some spectrum illegally for their walkie-talkies is a joke compared to what iKAKA really needs to be doing.

How about "pouncing on" or "nailing" this country's most loathed telecoms operator, Telscum? The same company that is holding an entire country to ransom, holding back almost the entire telecoms industry, denting our economy, reducing international competitiveness and making doing business in RSA more costly than it should be, for the last 10 years (or more)?

We're getting tired of your continuous failures ICASA. You should rather be shut down, so our taxes aren't wasted paying the salaries of a useless incompetent organisation.

While I agree with your sentiments, I doubt if you know the full role of ICASA. IMO they lack the resources (staff, skills and knowledge) to fulfill their mandate, which is not limited to telecoms.

EDIT: must add that last I saw they had around 370 staff (all inclusive).

can these idjits at AMittal do NOTHING properly??? Massive fail with their iron ore special deal and now this.... farking zombies!

telkuk probably wanted to put a heita tower up nearby and found amittal network to be performing brilliantly. As such got their b***h, icasa to go silence them.
