Megaupload user data might be erased by Thursday

ooooo I think Federal Prosecutors are in for a world of hurt if they do that....
 
I hope they do it... and then I hope they get the pants sued off of them! :mad:
 
Wouldn't that be destroying evidence? When the FBI comes knocking eveyone can just go .. 'what files?'
 
So they dont host the data?
Why are those companies that are hosting the data not being prosecuted? Says sham all over it.
 
Glad Megaupload is going going gone. Was a real PITA to use if you didn't sign up for a paid account (which I didn't). I always hated it when people would host their stuff on MU. At least now we will have loads more people using Bittorrent. More seeds and more peers to download from. This should improve speeds and availability of content.
 
I suspect a class action suit in respect of legitimate private data.

Frankly though, It really is cheaper and safer to just buy a new hard drive every year than store stuff in the cloud.
