Slow video buffering (YouTube)

Still trying to resolve the issue with the local IP transit of youtube but have in the meantime adjusted the metrics for it flow on the international path. However, will continue to attempt to resole the issue to make it work on local IP Transit.

Been attempting to kick in GGC for local servers the whole week without success. I suspect the final solution would come next month when we will do a local national backhaul transit to Google at CINX.

Looking forward to it! Youtube is basically useless to me now.

I have given up using iBurst for watching any video (youtube, newspapers, etc), because buffering takes ages. I use my CellC dongle to watch.

Has iBurst slowed down recently? I find it takes ages to turn a page in a newspaper (I can read a paper edition much faster).

In layman's terms?

;) in layman's terms they're working on it. r00igev@@r appears to be working with or for iburst.

"The expected repair completion date is now 14th March."

just yesterday i already started experiencing more bearable streaming. my first video or 2 streamed well, then from there it was very slow again, but not completely broken. (i.e i could watch a 25minute 360p youtube video in about 1.5 hours buffering time - earlier this month it was completely impossible) :)

"An error occured. Please try again later."

This single line is getting extremely irritating when trying to watch a Youtube vid:mad:
Can we please have the service we pay for? Or is that just too much to ask for?

I think a monkey carrying a wrench gives better service, since the cable fault they have been avoiding this from like no tomorrow, they probably believe to rather ignore a problem than facing it, it will eventually go away

OK, so an 11:06 minute 360p video has been buffering for the last 22 minutes and it is currently sitting on 2:24 minutes.

Please spell after me: P...A...T...H...E...T...I...C...S...P...E...E...D.

I cant play 360p video's without it having hickups. Its faster to download the video (with a youtube video downloader or via them youtube video downloader websites) than to wait for so much time for it to buffer.
