I will be very surprised if WACS has a 100% uptime record during its lifetime. It is quite normal to have these kind of failures and the Internet is designed to route around them.

Correct and that is exactly what EASSy did... rerouted its traffic on other cables.

No way can you foresee 100% uptime for sure. Lets hope for the best tho'
