MWEB to boost content delivery with Level 3 deal

Nice work Mweb! Now they just need to seal deals with Netflix and Apple to make content available to South Africans.

Many websites (particularly ones serving video and big media) do not host on servers in only one location. The distribute the files to server clusters all over the world in order to make sure that the files are close to the users and download quickly. No buffering ;)

Level-3 runs one of these systems on their network and serves content for a number of websites including CNN, BBC, Fox, Sky and Microsoft. The article is not clear on this but I would hope that this means that there will be a server cluster built in ZA for this content.
