RIP Adam Yauch

the beastie boys are one of the few great hip hop/punk groups that ever existed, people still listen to their tracks from 20 years ago...djs still sample them

very few people listen to eminem/50 cent tracks from 2 years ago! they're a fad... beastie boys are timeless

I disagree here, many people I know still listen to eminiem tracks from the marshall mathers LP/The Eminem Show. Eminem is one of the best rappers ever.

As for 50 Cent, his first album was brilliant and I still listen to it. It's been a sharp decline since then though.

This is my experience but, I enjoyed Eminem in my early 20s, I now find him intolerable

Licensed to ill was the soundtrack to my early high school years. I still listen to it occasionally.

Timeless as someone said.

RIP MCA

One of the first albums I bought was Licensed To ill and I think I still have it here.

Did you ever hear The In Sound from Way Out album? Just goes to show they were also awsome jazz-funk musicians, not just hip-hop and punk.

I posted this in the other thread as well.

Coldplay tribute.
