SpaceX prepares for launch

SpaceX is poised to launch its Dragon capsule to the International Space Station today, in what may be a historic mission for private spaceflight.

The on-board computer found high chamber pressure in the rocket’s fifth engine, causing an automatic abort. SpaceX will review the data further to find the root of the problem and how to fix it, and the rocket and capsule will be reused for the next launch. The next window is May 22nd at 3:44:34am Eastern, and you can be sure that we’ll be covering that launch live.
