Luckily being Android, that doesn't really matter ;-)
 
/I know that not all official versions are stable either, but to my limited knowledge custom ROM developers often rely on the drivers written by the manufacturers.

I guess. But I suspect we could see similarly/better speced tabs with ICS at that price soon. Although build quality might be questionable.

I have run a few custom roms and had little to no issues that I didn't already experience with stock roms.
