Cell C slashes contract prices by up to 50%

I am considering this. Vodacom contract will expire end July. Get a S2 or S3(if they have it) from FNB & sim from Cell C.
 
I'm still stuck paying 315 for 100 minutes. As soon as contract is done I am definitely going this route. Use old cellphone, spend 100 bucks a month and use the extra 215 for whatever
 
Wow - great stuff Cell C. Loving the proactive approach as opposed to the typical reactive attitude of VC and the 'we don't care' attitude of MTN.

As mentioned, can't wait til you guys get a wider range of handsets (GS3/iPhone/etc). Call quality and data throughputs have been great for me on Cell C so far, so I hope this continues with the predicted influx of new customers.

AKC seems to be driving a lot of new product launches and enhancements... congrats.

Great stuff! Just in time, I'm due for an "upgrade", but will rather port my voice contract 1st July
 
What's actually happening to the tariffs though:? This is just a different mixup of contract offering - is it going to be identically priced to the top-up with 99c/minute? What happens to existing customers' tariffs?
 
I must say that AKC is really putting his intention of growing market share into action by having these aggressive prices. I did not thought that he will do this. I am sure VC and MTN must be getting worried that their nice fat profits will take a beating over the next few years.
I just hope that a lot of consumers will support Cell C!

finally seems like cell c is joining the party and really becoming a competitor to mtn and vodacom ..... I really think that these moves will bring in loads of new customers .... me included :)

I would be cautiously optimistic until we see how the contract prices increase once you add a decent handset onto the base SIM only rate.

Also, if you don't want the minutes, or the SMS, or the data, then it might not be the best option for you.

Still, it is a good offer that will surely make the others take notice.
 
My VC contract comes to an end in Feb 2013. I am rather going to pay up the balance and port to CellC now.
I am so over getting shafted by VC. Rather support the guys that make the effort!
 
Just seen on there website 2gb contract 99pm :)
Now if the can just sort my upgrade up.
