Lolz: Oxford Online Dictionary additions are ridic

v.: the act of posting on the social networking site Twitter
 
Ummmmm, I'm sorry, how can mwhahaha be considered a word? I mean, is the non-digital hahaha a word? If it is it shouldn't be, surely?
 
So they included lolz, but what about lulz, lolololz, ROFLOLZOMGBBQ!!!!11one or even the more 'pure' lols (since its closer to the original acronym and would thus be used more in variations)

I mean if they are adding alternate spellings, there are many that are used equally as much as 'lolz'
 
It's more useful to grab definitions off an automated 'dictionary' compiler which scans sites for common phrases - and then gives 'best effort' definitions.
 
i knew when HAT (handwoordeboek van die afrikaanse taal) included the word "cool" that acceptable language was going down the crapper.

this is now acceptable english:
"i was chillin at a hackathon with my peeps when this cool bro rocked up in his sweet cab. we were all like 'damn dogg! you be da shizznizz ma ninja! coolio daddio!' and he just went 'lolz' like a boss. man that dude be fly for a rabbi. word."
 
They spend time on absolute f*****g sh*t instead of fixing the English language. Bunch of <insert Afrikaans word for "sides" or "lace">.
