Samsung takes a jab at Apple

If I were Samsung I would go on the warpath with ads like that.

They've kind of been doing it for a while now.

Someone edited the ad by adding an Apple AppStore icon on the iPhone 5 side stating that Samsung forgot to add that ... but what the idiot didn't realise was that Android itself has an app market for the S3.

This one popped up on a feed awhile ago, I LOL'd

On paper its awesome. Logically I should want the SGS3, and looking at the specs and features I do, but Android just doesn't flow for me.
I'm due for an upgrade and I could get the S3 today if I wanted, but I'm waiting for the 5.

Maybe I'll try and put my 4 away for a couple of days and try and use the S2 for a bit and see if it works for me.

Edit: ok getting the S2 back is not worth the trouble. I try with the note :p.

Previous versions of Android have been quite chunky, but the latest Jelly Bean OS is extremely good.

* get new browser update on phone
* open link to browswer
* get asked which browser I now want to use to open link
* choose browser
* nothing happens
* look again and see that it wants me to choose whether to use this browser once, always or never
* become insecure and choose Once
* repeat every time I open a link because I'm suddenly not sure
------ THAT-------- is why I'm still not sold on Android

Does JB work on the note? The S3 only comes with ICS.. So I'll be waiting for JB hoping it will sort out everything like I did waiting for ICS on the note, to find all the old issues where still there. :(

The new advert compares the features of the Galaxy S III to that of the iPhone 5, with the latter “coming out on top” with the most specs.

I think in this context "the latter" should be replaced with "the former".

Ads like these help make Apple sell, it's free marketing for them.

Gotta admit, that is the one and only thing I don't like in JB. It looks pretty and all but it means an extra click every time...

If the choice between once, always and never causes you to become insecure maybe you would be better off with a iPhone after all.

Mmm, so let me get this straight: You would rather not use a product because you do not know how to set it up properly after using a different browser (/ insert any core app here / ). Seriously?
What about setting it as the default browser (/ insert any core app here / )?

If that is the case, then truly, please go ahead and please stay away from anything that is not tightly controlled - I am sure you would feel much better once true choice has been taken away from you.

Well you get a choice. On ios you get no choice. You can set the normal browser to open links by default or you can change that under settings. Anyways it's a trivial thing.

What issues do you have with ICS on the Note? Jellybean does work but it has memory leaks.

The biggest is battery drain. It doesnt last the day. It lasts fine if I turn everything off and I don't play on it, but whats the point then? That and the random restarts. They drive me crazy.

I know how to set it up. I know how to use Android quite well actually. I just find it an indicative example of a general lack of intuitive usability. I'd be fired if I wrote that kind of a process flow.

It's possible I guess. It's also possible that I speak for the majority of people here though.
