Hi guys


Does anyone know???

I saw a thread somehwere that it wouldve been available like in September somewhere?
 
Was announced for September/October unofficially but delayed.

Non SA JB Roms are all over the net though. I'm using the Polish JB ROM and it's perfect...
 
Cool, i wanted to go Custom, but i know it messes with battery life etc...

Want to rather wait for official?

But are they compatible? Where can i look for that?? I dont wanna root etc....

Yip, as pointed out, they are official ROMs. Just download Odin, put your phone in download mode, connect it to the computer, load the downloaded .tar file (the ROM file) into the PDA section, and go for it. Refer to a guide for the exact specifics and do a backup just in case. I haven't had an issue that's required me to restore a backup though...

This update is officially release in UK only via Kies/OTA, outside United Kingdom users of unbranded Galaxy S3 cannot get this update. You must wait until Samsung distribution reaches in your areas. But for advance users, who used and previously installed leaks and other countries Jellybean firmware you can try it out now, using the I9300XXDLJ4 stock ROM.

No, it's a yes, it will work. I have it.

What I was pointing out is that they are saying it is only available via Kies or OTA in the UK, which is obvious. BUT you can happily load it via the instructions given outside the UK.

EDIT: And I'm a bad typer :) Corrected it.

Just do the UK or Polish JB update already. It works 100%
 
I installed the JB rom that was release for Egypt yesterday, because it uses the same multi CSC as South-Africa. I installed using Odin3_v3.04. After the installation the phone (S3) were as before the installation except it was upgraded to JB. It took me a full 2.5minutes to upgrade to JB.

Your phone will be then on the Official JB release. It even retains the Vodacom boot animation!

Steps:

1) Download: Samsung-Updates.com-GT-I9300_EGY_1_20121024094758_x193ir97by.zip (Link -> http://www.hotfile.com/dl/177388037/4d19bcf/I9300XXDLJ1_I9300OJVDLJ1_EGY.zip.html)
2) Unzip to get this file: I9300XXDLJ1_I9300OJVDLJ1_I9300XXDLID_HOME.tar.md5
3) Then follow this guide: http://www.theandroidsoul.com/i9300xxblfb-latest-android-4-0-4-update-galaxy-s3-guide/ (Similar for JB 4.1.1) or http://rootgalaxys3iii.com/s3-i9300xxdlib/
