Cosatu taking to the highways to protest e-tolls

Jozi people are ganna get pwned in the traffic when they do that.

This should be fun.

If you dont need to take the highway.

This inconvenience is for our good. I'll be supporting them wholeheartedly.

Pity people dont say that when COSATU strikes for better wages. I guess everyone needs double standards. I suppose if it directly affects them, only then do people approve of the action.

My issue in general with Cosatu when they strike is not what they are striking for but the mayhem and damage done while they are striking. I think if Cosatu actually demonstrated or organised their strikes in a type of enviroments where they are seen and heard, and not based on how much damage they can cause, they would get more sympathy votes.

I can handle this type of demonstration as long as they don't start burning cars and crap.

This strike makes sense. Asking for a 20% wage increase every year, and then getting violent and destructive when you don't get it, does not.

mmmm yes lovely.if it stops e-tag then yes.

Oh. The answer to that is simple. People are mostly selfish dicks. (I originally left out the mostly, then remembered Douglas Adams)

So what other issues is COSATU going to be adding to this protest?

well COSATU are just learning to be more efficient and maximising protest time rather than just protest about 1 issue at a time

They had a similar statement on their website last week.
Then those who actually showed up to the protest found out that they were also protesting against the demolishing of houses in Lenasia.

simple, if you're protesting against e-tolls just make sure that you've got a sign big enough stating that's what you're protesting about
