BlackBerry 10 South Africa launch window

I want to be a troll and say "Yawn", especially considering what these BB10 devices will cost. But given how people gobble up R9k iPhones I'd end up being the idiot.
 
I hope they don't price them at at those iPhone prices.

I am one of those who is a fan of the new OS, I really think it is the best OS since webOS*and later Meego.

I expect RIM to price the Z10 at around R7 599, could be R7 999. The X10 should be cheaper than those prices above. However, knowing RIM, the all-touch phone will be cheaper than the keyboard version. I will get the phone at those prices.

Anything beyond that is absurd really.

If BB10 devices cost R7,599-R7,999, then they will have a problem.
On CaCell.co.za:
  • iPhone 5 16G is R7,999
  • SG3 16G is R5,799
BB10 needs to be more aggressively priced to be competitive.
We'll find out on the 30th Jan...
