Here's a small gift for you...

(I usually don't send emails on Saturday - but today's an exception as I wanted you to get this gift ASAP)

Why?

Our move to our new ADSL Network unfortunately did have issues that affected certain clients.

And for that I am sincerely sorry.

I passionately believe in giving back - and we wanted to say sorry by giving back to you in a tangible and real way.

So we've created a Mystery Discount for you that you can go and claim right now:

-> Click to claim your Mystery Discount

(Simply click on the link, spin the wheel and you'll be automatically credit noted with the percentage you 'win' for next month)

We'll email you your credit note and reduce your next invoice automatically so you'll only pay us the difference next month.

Once again sincere apologies for letting you down.

I hope you enjoy your gift

Gian
CEO, Afrihost

PS:

I also promise that we will never, ever, ever rest in our relentless drive to surprise, amaze and delight you with our service.

Here's a quick update on our new ADSL network and what we're still doing to improve in all facets:

- The new network is performing well
overall - In fact recently Seacom went
down for a day and all international
traffic was automatically rerouted over
our other international routes and nobody
even noticed.

- We have significantly increased overall
capacity and redundancy of the network
over the last while - you can see more here:
http://www.afrihost.com/microsites/adsl_network/

- And with the addition of the Cape Town
and Durban IPC this weekend overall
latency should improve for clients in
those regions.

- We have also hired over 40 support
guys and girls in the last few months
to bolster our Support team so you will
get helped quicker and more efficiently
in the future.

So thanks again for your business and patience with us - I sincerely appreciate it.

Interesting - just spun and got 96% discount!! Coooool.

Will be interesting to see if anyone else got 96% or is it really random?

I got 91%. R36 ADSL for March, yip I can live with that.

For all their short comings lately I still maintain they a very service driven company with the best interests of their customers at heart.

An offer like this from another ISP might come across as dis-ingenious and an attempt to buy back loyalty but coming from Afrihost I just get the impression that it is a sincere gesture of goodwill on their behalf.

I must agree, that must the sole reason for me staying on after all of my bitching and moaning about crap service we got after switching over to the MTN network. Afrihost FTW!

I can't argue with that - first I get 3 free months ADSL for providing feedback, and now 96% discount for March.

Next they will be paying me to use it! :p

didn't get the email and can't spot anything on the clientzone :(

Is it perhaps uncapped account holders only?

I never got the email either but using capped accounts that perform at 110% so not phased.

Ah ok makes sense :) Also on capped....considering going uncapped though :)

got 88% 1meg uncapped, moved it to 2meg uncapped speed still low same with 2meg capped also low at 1.5 whereas 2.1 was normal for the capped account.

90% discount - R357 ... Nice gesture!

But I must also add, that the work I can't conduct or deliver due to network problems and the 3G backup I subsequently have to run, since their switch to MTN, have cost me muuuuch more!!

uncapped 2mb - did receive the throttling - did not receive any e-mail.

Got 84% on 4Meg line, and I've had great service so far, so I am a super happy chappie so far.

Also, the discount will be MUCH appreciated with my current financial crunch, Hurrah for Afrihost's initiative!
