Big Bang gets clearer, universe older than expected

I think the variable speed of light version of inflation has the best chance of being correct.
 
Hopefully the Square Kilometer Array, when completed, will throw more light on the matter (no pun intended).
 
We need a new metric. Using current earth years to measure time before our sol & planet existed seems rather, er, parochial and anthropocentric.

Had to chuckle at the 4 slipped in at 10^3.

Considering universal age was at +/- 14 Billion years i dont think being 80 milllion years off is a big deal?
If they said a couple of billion years then Id say big deal

I'm not a creationist, but this does sound like the universe had a helping hand at the beginning .. doesn't it?
