FPB wants to regulate Internet content in South Africa

This is what happens when you drop kids on their heads or let them eat lead paint chips... They grow up to be FPB retards.

FPB vs the Internet, not a fair fight...

According to the FPB, it is regrettably not possible to regulate Internet content, further noting that there are high volumes of pornography distributed online.

The FPB explained regulation is made impossible by a highly litigious industry that spent large sums in legal fees.

started well with possibly the most intelligent thing the FPB has ever uttered (i.e. it is not possible) but the fact that it is not possible has nothing to do with a litigious industry and everything to do with the fundamental nature of the Internet

the world spins a little too fast for some folk....

Idiots trying to meddle with something they have no clue about.

To be fair, they don't really have a clue about film or publication either. Seems to me there is a set a price for classifying your movie or game and the FPB is merely the till point.

laughed at this... until I realised that yet again my tax funded this moronic conclusion.

Oh yes we were having quite a bit of fun until you brought up the reality of our tax, but, for once what the heck....LOL @ FPB. Idiots!!

this is almost as bad the idiots wanting to regulated your electric fence, comply or remove it.

In a recent presentation to the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee for Home Affairs,

the Film and Publications Board (FPB) said that one of its strategic objectives is to regulate the Internet.

Well there's the problem right there: the Internet does not belong to South Africa and cannot be out-gunned by mindless bureaucrats armed with their plastic canteen knives and rolls of red tape.
