Are you sure it's not on the photos? Your resolution is a higher for photos so it might just be much smaller. We're talking 5184 x 3456 for photos compared to 1920 x 1080 for video, right?
Probably because you're spelling photos wrong…I took fotos of a black wall to white wall checked on blue sky can't find it on my fotos![]()
Alternatively take your lens off and put the body cap on the camera then do a manual sensor clean. This is supposed to map out the dead/stuck pixels.
Now it could be that because the sensor heats up more when you're shooting video it's not getting quite as warm when shooting stills without live view?

Glad it worked.Like sensor dust I don't go looking for dead/stuck pixels - they'd probably drive me to distraction if I found one!

I am the same when it comes to stuff like that .... I sent back 3 LED 24" screens with one stuck pixels my eyes kept zooming in on the thing...

I had a red line running down the edge of my laptop screen for the longest time so I changed my wallpaper to match. Out of sight out of mind.
