Cheaper Telkom Business uncapped ADSL launched

I must say, R3,799 for an uncapped 40Mbps line is good value in my opinion. It's a pity the service is practically unavailable

Telkom Business Uncapped = R429 Data Only 4Mbps
Afrihost Business Uncapped = R697 Data Only 4Mbps

Telkom now cheaper with all Business Uncapped Data only,not Bundles.

Went to go and look and MWeb pricing.They are going to have to pull finger with their prices.

R1899 for 4Mbps Business Uncapped Data only.

What a joke!!

1 Terrabyte of bandwidth at 1Gbps costs R25 in Germany. So until our pricing matches this, we are overpriced by at least 1000x.

Compare the number of internet users in Germany to us.
 
Wow,impressive price cuts especially on the TBiz Business Uncapped Elite+ 40Mbps.
 
Clarifying some confusion about this press release after a helpful phone call from Telkom.

The existing business uncapped accounts did not have their prices reduced, they've introduced a new set of packages that will be called "Business Uncapped" and which will be de-prioritised outside business hours.

The existing business uncapped packages will henceforth be known as "Premium Uncapped" and will continue to receive priority throughout the day.

The tables and first few paragraphs in the article have been amended to reflect this.

I have 4 business sites all with 1mbps ADSL at the moment. Would it be possible to have uncapped at all these sites using one uncapped account ? I see they offer concurrent logins... would this work ?
 
Here is a free tip for you Telkom...

Seeing as you own most of the internal backhaul and all the copper to the home, now is the perfect time to do the following:

Charge a flat rate of R349 per month for a 1meg uncapped account. At worst try and not let us drop lower than 500k. INCLUDE the telephone line rental and make all local calls FREE. Now the last thing to do is give as close to 100% service on this as possible.
You will, in a matter of weeks sign up almost everyone in this country.
I don't know about you being dragged to the competition commission, but you can negate that by giving everyone else R100 per month, per account that they sub host through you. Let them be your customer service/technical arm.
If I had a small company that hosted 100 clients with you, that's 10 grand a month, to me, guaranteed.
Lastly, offer incentive bonuses for positive customer feedback and speedy support ticket resolution by way of more cash or additional capacity/services.
