SA e-mail spammers named and shamed

Amazing that I really only see e-mail from only one of the companies on that list, either me or Gmail must be doing something right! :D

What is the point - they obviously could care less about being named, and apparently are not shamed at all.

Yes, choose a middle finger all!

Gmail is brilliant for spam blocking. If I do not trust the source, I would rather mark it as spam than unsubscribe. You never know if unsubscribe just confirms that your address exists.

 An unsubscribe link is not that difficult :/

What a brilliant way of confirming that your email address is receiving spam and can be resold as an active email address, I'm sure no spammer has ever thought of using an unsubscribe link for that exact purpose

ISPA should add Voldemort's (VVM) attorneys to the list of spammers.

I agree

GMail just got better with the new tabs that it sorts mail into.

My email address must be on a reseller list somewhere. Just today I got a marketing email from Hilti calling me a 'Valued Customer'. I have never bought a Hilti product in my life and definitely have never given my email address to them (or to any related company).

Not sure if I should click unsubscribe or just create a spam filter rule in gmail.

They see it as a hall of fame if you ask me. To be at the top means you the best and most efficient and you can use this fact to sell your services. :-)

It would be nice to have the ip range they use and email addresses :D
May be we could start a thread and every one could contribute .

Name and shame them...as if they would care

If none of these spammers care about being named and shamed, how do you explain the fact that Ketler bothered to take the ISPA to court for naming Ketler as a spamming entity?

Just what I was wondering about. Just how effective is it to name and shame these spamsters? I see the same names on the list who were named on the very first lists I can recall.

It is more about naming than shaming: naming allows the word to be spread far and wide about how these disreputable spammers choose to run their businesses (not just underhanded marketing), and will eventually decrease the number of people and consequently companies prepared to do business with these spammers.

If spammers like Ketler feel shamed, it is a bonus.

Why not name and shame the ISPs who host these spammers? Surely that would be more effective... ?

Clicking that button moves that current email to the spam folder, but I have found in the past it requires that I mark about ~5 emails from the same address as spam before it takes the hint and moves any future mail from that address automatically to the spam folder.
