Hi

Please remember to check the ISP's terms before signing up as has been seen multiple times on these forums a person will sign up, violate the terms and then come and moan about how much the ISP sucks. They all contain excessive use policy's by the way.

WebAfrica's "Home Uncapped Usage Guidelines and Acceptable Use" reads as follows:

To ensure that all customers have fair and equal use of the Home Uncapped service and to protect the integrity of the network, Web Africa reserves the right and will take necessary steps to prevent improper or excessive usage thereof.

Web Africa may undertake the following action(s) to ensure fair and equal network performance for all customers:
•Adjusting the throughput of the aforementioned service based off the current and historic usage of the service.
•Limiting or preventing service through specific protocols and/or ports.
•Continuous excessive usage of a service may result in termination of the Home Uncapped ADSL account.
•Any attempt to bypass Shaping Policies may result in termination of the Uncapped ADSL account.

Web Africa's Home Uncapped solution is a prioritised service, based off available network capacity along with current and historic usage trends.

It's possible that my understanding of the English language is poor, but I don't see any guidelines ...

Guideline: A statement or other indication of policy or procedure by which to determine a course of action

The way I use my connection, I did not realise OpenWeb had one.

Same here with me and Afrihost, I dont do light traffic but then again I do only watch/download what I actually want and not for the sake of filling hard drive space.

Thanks sand_man and keigo

Hopefully people will use the list.

This whole hoo-haa fanny wobble people are throwing on here (like the mweb email recycling "issue" that's all of a sudden brought to everyone's attention) is such a joke. Yet most email providers do the same. Even Google with Gmail. lol

People have too much time it seems. Niks beter om te doen as om *** te probeer maak nie. ;)

Thanks for making me realize once again why I avoid "discussions" on this forum. :)

Oh and good for posting this info! People jump on a bandwagon way too quick.
