Can someone from Afrihost please confirm whether it will be possible or not on Afrihost Mobile to have incoming connections similar to the "Unrestricted" APN that Vodacom offers. Will the Afrihost APN allow incoming connections by default or is this blocked?

I'll chat to our team to get you a decent answer on this :)

Thanks. I'm surprised noone has asked you this before. This is crucial if people want to use your mobile service for connecting back to their home network.

wow havent tried yet. trying to still find perfect corner at house which gets 3g signal

Caught up in the excitement, we forgot about it.
Eagerly await Afrihost response...

You wont believe this but im at edge of 3G signal (terrible 14.4Mbs) and i did this and im getting around 3Mb speed..

The answer is foil and a dish, not very big dish... small for the mifi to sit inside..

Wrap foil around the dish and put foil inside and let the mifi rest inside it.. Look for a spot with atleast one bar 3G and set your mifi to only allow 3G signal.. Wait a few minutes and watch the bars rise.. .. mine sitting at 3 bars compared to none without this contraption..

Works provided there is some 3G signal close by

I should have some feedback for you guys soon :) We're just confirming the technical details on our end.

Hhhmm, can't seem to edit my posts. Was too excited to give you all the good news.
In any case, to clarify - yes, incoming connections are available and allowed, however features on the device might limit how the incoming traffic is handled.
