SteamOS revealed by Valve

If valve was serious about the market they would have gone for a BSD based OS.

As much as I love FreeBSD and NetBSD, I would have to disagree. Even though they have superior package management (in my opinion) and init system (as apposed to stupid run levels), etc, linux has the upper hand when it comes to drivers, market share and number developers.
