Mxit still growing: World Wide Worx

I don't understand how Mxit still holds any appeal for anyone. WhatsApp, WeChat, FB Messenger, BBM etc. are all better instant messengers and have much larger user bases. Mxit isn't even an option for me, as I don't know a single person who still uses it.
 
It's still got a stranglehold in that ever-critical 'mall bathroom hookups' demographic.
 
I have never had or worked on Mxit, wanted to install it now to see what the fuss is all about, and apparently its not available on the Apple store, or for Iphone5 at least.
guess now i will never know :P
 
I bet they are bleeding customers in South Africa

Back in the day when mxIt opened their doors to general public 2004/5 if not mistaken things were a buzz, affordable, fun, now mxIt is more like an advertising portal for companies, chat rooms are overpriced 2cent per msg when they launched it was 1cent per msg & too many perverts wanting to sell pics etc, failed business model that needs a lot of cleaning / human interaction.

I prefer WeChat by far with their geo-location you can find people in your area and socialize with them, met a few already.

WhatsApp is my primary app personal contacts/family/friends.

It was available on iTunes and I do have it installed on my iPad but once i open the app get booted out immediately.


I don't foresee any growth in mxit unless you offer free chatting LPP
