Lenovo S6000 10.1" 3G tab

You saw it in person? What is wrong with the screen?

No sir, I did not. But based on the review, the clarity and brightness is not great and cannot be used under direct sunlight....It's only a small put off...

Well, it won't only affect the tab outside, inside as well, if you have a house with lot's of light, or have bright lights at night, it will affect it too....

For the price, it is worth it though...

I bought one to add to my tablet collection. Decent performance for the price. Everything worked as advertised. One problem I experience with the tablet is ad-hoc reboots, happens about 1-2 times a day, but with the decent processor it boots quite fast.

On first connection to the internet it downloaded an update for the Android OS, not sure what it was for. The camera sucks in poor light.

I would have liked Miracast in the OS, but unfortunately it is not there. The USB on the go only supports FAT32, so I can't have HD movies bigger the 4GB on the USB stick. Streaming HD movies worked better and is the alternative.

Finding a decent case proofed to be difficult. Still have not found one, I want thin, to go with the sleek design of the Lenovo 6000. No point in having a sleek tablet and a bulky cover. Hopefully I get a cover before the screen scratches.

You have a tablet collection? Why? Is it to make me feel inferior? Well you are you know!

Please come back and post feedback here? :)

Got it earlier today. Its basically sold out everywhere except Nicolway Dion in Bryanston.

The tablet is cool. Once you throw in a good launcher and do some customizing, its actually a very nice device to use. Im not going to give a full review, but what I will say is that it is a proper full on tablet and at R3500 for a 10.1", Id say its a steal.

Also got the update, but it was only 75mb so it was nice and quick.

Ive done some searching and found some local sites that have nice leather covers for this device. Try the following:

Nice prices too.

Edit: I was also pleasantly surprised to find that this tab has a GPS.

Ok so this is happening to me. Why is it doing that?

I was in Canal Walk on Saturday and held it in my hand. I see what you mean about the brightness. I had it on full but it wasnt that bright. Still, for the price I would be happy. Dont have the budget for it now, but maybe later... ;)

Rather disconcerting that it restarts itself... Maybe a custom ROM would sort that out? :)

Let us know if you come right with the issue!

Reboots are caused by Pattern Lock. Always used to reboot after unlocking. Removed Pattern Lock, and it went from about 3 or 4 reboots a day to 0 over the last 48 hours.

I will try normal pin lock and see if that doesn't cause issues.

It is lovely, go for it.
I have it for 2 months now and it works fine, much faster than my Nexus 7 (2012)
