When does Telkom throttle your uncapped ADSL account

Hi,

Can answer this question for me.

At what point does Telkom throttle ones ADSL account?

I have a 1mbps line with and uncapped account.

I think i may have gone over the pre-throttle limit.

Telkom don't throttle your account, they shape it.
I'm on a 1mbps uncapped line. I've done 157gb in total for this month.
I get shaped during the day where my speeds can fluctuate from 2KB to 60KB.
From midnight to around 7am it's steady at around 80-90KB even though im in the red zone indicated on the Ti Tracker.

That is news to me.
They definitely throttled too about a quarter of your line speed previously.
Must have been a policy change at some stage.

Maybe. From my experience I can't say that they have throttled my account as my line speed just varies from time to time depending on how busy the network is I would assume.
 
I have a 4mb line and I have just been throttled to zero! Checked my usage and its 214GB for the month. I dont mind fair usage etc etc but is it asking too much to be told what that is as a number so I can control usage accordingly?

I was under the impression (dont recall where from) that the 4mb "cap" is 240GB a month. I've been using the Ti tracker tool and the last few times I checked I was green and 55% - 60% through the range and now all of a sudden I'm a red power user
 
So after being forced to accept the terms of a FUP that doesn't make much sense to me this is my speedtest....throttletest.JPG

So check this out. 1Meg line and he got 157Gigs. Nowadays on 2Meg you get < 100 !!!
