Apple bumps up sapphire material production

Apple Inc will open a manufacturing facility in Arizona in partnership with mineral crystal specialist GT Advanced Technologies Inc to make sapphire materials for Apple’s popular electronics devices.
 
This must be for the iWatch, and you can curve saphire crystal so that might fight in with the OLED rumours. I suspesct what Apple is going to do differently to everyone else is this iBeacon technology is going to be used to give you information on the watch about your surroundings. Will be interesting to see if Google does anything similar for it's Android smartwatch.
