Free NiteData (3072MB) on Smartdata 2 Gig

Hi

I have a Smartdata 2 gig contract. I noticed on the Cellc website that you get 3 gig nite data with this contract. Does anyone here know anything about that. When I check my data balance on my iPad (under Cellular Data), there is no mention of the nite data. Also nothing when I phone to get my data balance.

I tried phoning customer care but there does not seem to be any humans on the other side.

Thanks for any info.
 
I also got that data contract but the night data was only released recently.

Wonder if I can be converted to the new package cause its the same price....

If it is then I have not received the extra night data..... I only have 2GB for R119 no matter what time I use it. The 3GB data will be nice. :)

I am also considering this deal, it's from cellc right? Looks like a pretty good deal to me, you get 5gb (including nitedata0 a galaxy tab 3 10.1" and a drifta for only R379pm.

Yes cellc has awesome data deals no doubt. That said you should test the speeds and throughput on a prepaid sim first. Load some airtime and you can test it with the supercharge data they give you. Don't just blindly signup cause you might have poor data speeds... If you get good speeds you will enjoy the package but nothing worse than 0.1Mbps download speed. :-)

Thanks I'm going to phone now and ask wtf is going on cause this deal has been out for some time already....
 
My speeds used to be pretty bad, but now I get around 10 Mbps. Check it out. There was an article a while ago that said they are spending a lot of money to upgrade the network in JHB and Pretoria. Looks like it worked for me at least.

On the phone with them now. The lady is calling the supervisor to have a look at my account..... They told me its only new customers but then I said but the website..... Now I'm on hold. :)

My speeds was really good actually but its slow lately only at home. When I'm at work its ok. Cellc did log a query for me will see what happens with that
 
They just created a query to have the Thecnical team have a look why my Nitedata is not being loaded....

Maybe the Cell C rep can help us out here.

just checking if this has ended as i thought i was using my nite data and got the sms sayin you have less then 500mb left this afternoon??
