E-tolls here at midnight - an e-tolling timeline

Can't wait for my first invoice to light my Braai with on Sunday!

not a wise thing to post here.....

I guess you cannot take that threat seriously. It is just a flight of fancy... Everybody is hoping somebody else is stupid enough to actually do it! :D

Nobody wants to be the nutter who actually does something that epically heroic! We all have too many responsibilities. Whoever does it would need to be without dependants in case he/she takes a fall. They will need to be clever not to turn the highway into a crash site with people plowing into downed gantries at high speed. The liability is massive! Romantic idea but it will never happen! ;)

Nothing wrong with wishing harm to an inanimate object like a toll gantry! **** those who think otherwise! It is only problematic when you consider hurting people...

How does it work ? If you give details of someone from Sanral to foot the biil for you, is that possible ?

Old car with no computers and an EMP pulsar in the back, trigger it every time you go under a gantry!

OR

If you're organized enough get some people to stop the traffic, apply shaped charges to gantry, have get away vehicles in appropriate area, detonate and drive away! :D Hopefully some union officials read myBB ;)

Tomorrow Sanral will report that 90% of the cars that made use of the N1 had e-tags...

Cannot trust a word they say.

Left home early this morning planning to take a back route to Pretoria, only realised while passing a gantry that I used my regular route.

Yeah, a press release is already written (numbers and stats included).

Happily here in Cpt till after Jan.. watching this to see what happens

I purposely drove under one gantry today - no e-tag. Going to stay off the highways now for the next two weeks for the billing cycle and repeat the process - I'm going to make it uneconomical for them to bill me (R12.50 or so). Will wait for the invoices now, and complain if I do not receive them. When I do receive them l'll pay just for that billing cycle only (in the maximum 59 days allowed).
