Mango, GConnect in-flight Wi-Fi tested

compared to lufthansa's in flight wifi which gave me 20mbps down and 16mbps up while flying over central africa

Their management system is horribly unsecure,
I logged onto it during my flights - there are options to restart the system 0.o

Good spot; I always try and access the gateway/dhcp on these networks too. xD
 
I could not tinker further with it as we were busy with the landing preparation procedure - but I'm sure there's more to mess around with than just that - next time I fly will have my Backtrack laptop with me ;-)
 
"G-Connect clearly advertises its in-flight Wi-Fi as a service for e-mail, instant messaging, social networking, and browsing." <-- Why R50 is ridiculous and at MOST it should be R5-15/flight. At that price everyone will use it and gain due to economies of scale. if there is very 'little/low' traffic R50 is over priced imo then again what do i know of the cost of tech used + feasibility etc
