Telkom appoints chief risk officer

WOW, talk about a baptism of fire.
This guy is literally the scape goat for all the crap Telkom couldn't solve.

it depends what criteria you apply to determine whether she is doing a good job or not ;)

if you consider the various portfolios she has held and responsibilities to task and you map that against areas of Telkom where there is a calamity then you should judge her performance poorly
if you consider what she has allowed to happen with the ship being turned around and the ability to hedge certain massive risks by virtue of her connections and powers of persuasion the story is a lot more complicated ....

Bottom line I think it is a good fit to appoint her as responsible to deal with Telkom's biggest risks, but that is a little cynical and utilitarian a statement. It probably comes from a position of concern at any vacancy in the CEOs office ...
