DA loses e-toll bid

The Constitutional Court on Monday dismissed a DA application for leave to appeal against a decision regarding the constitutionality of e-tolling legislation

I'm surprised that after all this the time they've had to dream up a plausible excuse for booting this appeal, king Zumatello and his pet Moegoe Moegoe came up with this rather weak excuse.

Nope their pensions are tied to Sanral and E tolls.

Where did you get that from? Lol
Sure it's not in sasol, MTN, or mining?

It would be stupid to have their pension tied up in something that's "yet" to launch.

Holy balls dude. From someone with seemingly very little knowledge on matters, you sure love commenting on them. You're obviously quite young, so here's a little saying that may prove useful to you:

Yes the GEPF does hold some Sanral bonds. I don't believe the courts are ruling based on that though, it'd be highly irregular and given that these decisions are open to public perusal the experts would get on it in double time.

It's Haldex, dude... Your expectations were a tad high.

It's all up to us these courts are useless I'm tired of the lame excuses

Wake up and smell the real coffee here Vusi. The courts are not endorsing Sanral, they are simply passing the buck of this whole mess.

No court will rule against SANRAL or the gvt in this matter.

Um SANRAL has lost in court more often than it won and even where the appellate court has overturned a favourable decision it has set up precedent that SANRAL really doesn't want

With respect to the Constitutional Court one can set out a case of excessive deference to treasury on matters fiscal and I'd argue (when I get a chance) that whereas the early jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court unnecessarily disrupted key legal notions in order to consolidate power in the Republic under the rubric of a constitutional democracy such as to erode prerogative and extend equity through a horizontal application of the bill of rights the later jurisprudence has been far too deferent to obscure government considerations

Not oncer has SANRAL lost due to E tolls. Please kindly show me 1 x instance.
The judiciary have ruled for SANRAL every time on this matter which clearly shows bias.
