Meh, I feel your satisfaction is very much dependent on where you live. In the Southern Suburbs of CPT, Cell-C is amazing. I can drive on the M3 or M5 from Muizenberg to the CBD with my music streaming at 128kbps.

Obviously, that is why the sample was large. 1,5k people are quite a lot. Hopefully they were geographically diverse.
 
When I read the part about people being more satisfied with autopage I had to stop.
I doubt anyone could be happy with them.
 
You have to give Cell C credit. MTN and Vodacom have had 20 years to setup their infrastructure, and Cell C only....what...10 years ? I think Cell C have done well considering...
 
Have to agree with you. I get the impression CellC is much better in CPT than JHB. I have to leave my Vodacom phone on a window sill at work to get any reception. I actually got another contract on CellC just to get reception at work. And the 15c/MB data bundles are a welcome addition. Overall I'm quite happy with CellC.
 
I'm kinda unfortunate where I stay my experience with mobile networks is full of battles only TM works to a larger extend compared to the rest

Cell C has definitely gone to a lot of effort regarding their tv advertisements being of a decent quality ...

Most of the ads usually have a huge number of people in the ad - so all those extras that were in the ads usually talk to their friends about the ad and then the word-of-mouth advertising works wonders ...

Also the latest cell C ads are including more celebrities (those in the everyday soapies on tv) to boost their image ...
 
I am with Vodacom but I am overall happy with Cell C. I think they have come a long way and I found their network decent albeit a bit spotty at times. (Had a 2 year contract). MTN is my least favourite network. I had a iPhone contract with them for 2 years and I was not impressed with their network. I mostly got Edge on their network.
 
In Sandton and I hated Cell C. Pretty much was a waste of a contract, switched over to Vodacom and its worlds apart.

Contacted Cell C multiple times, to get try and figure out what the problem is and they basically said they can't help. When I cancelled my contract, they didn't even try and find out why; they just said okay.

Poor customer service + terrible signal. Would never go near them again or recommend them to anyone.
 
One thing I can't help think about is that customer satisfaction is both subjective and relative to society, so comparing to international ratings may as well be comparing apples to oranges.

The fact that we "score" higher than those countries is just as easily, and more likely, because we have lowered our expectations.
