I got a bit of a situation, I'm in the process of making a home theatre room, so I asked my contractors to place a blank box on the 1 end of the room with a pipe to feed up to the ceiling because my htpc will be located on that end of the room. So he did this, and it's been chased and put in the wall and everything, only problem now is, the connection he used at the 1 end of the box (where I will need to feed my HDMI cable through) is a bit narrow, I haven't tested it yet, but I'm doubting that the HDMI plug will actually fit through that little connection to the box.
Which is why I want to know, is it possible to remove the plug, so that I can feed just the cable through the pipe till the other end and then re attach the HDMI plug without damaging it, or can I buy something along that lines instead since I haven't bought the cables yet either? Planning on going to hd cabling the weekend to get new speaker wire as we'll to put up before the roof gets put on.
