29GB at what line speed? Home or business? and I think they have a 30 days notice period, so you are still stuck with them for another month.![]()
Yeah, good luck to them enforcing that. I will just reverse the debit order. Its 4mbit uncapped home.
wouldn't they then blacklist you for non-payment? And from what I understand if you read all the posts these days about all the ISPs, is that home uncapped actually means between midnight and 6AM uncapped. So if you did that 29GB in times when other people are awake, they are fully within their rights to throttle the hell out of you as an abuser. I obviously don't agree with that crap, just passing along what I see is the new trend amongst many a ISP for "home uncapped" accounts.
Reversing a debit order is not a smart thing to do, it should only be your last resort of action, and you need lots of proof if you want to get that blacklisting against your name removed. Unless you don't care about getting credit again in the future. Just saying, don't be stupid about it.
It is interesting how you are upset about being on 3 stars, when on that level your are not really completely screwed. But doing 29GB in 10 days will get you to about 90GB usage for a month. Having done that in only business hours will get your stars down to about 3, and that is quite fair actually for a home uncapped account, considering you did the traffic during business hours. If you moved it to after hours which is the usual case for when home users should be using their traffic, then your stars probably wouldn't have fallen as fast.
It does make sense, if you want to use as much as possible data during business hours and not being affected as much as the home uncapped users, then you get a business type account. If you going to be using your internet mostly outside of business hours and on the odd occasion during business hours, then the home uncapped accounts are great actually.
Thanks for assuming, the traffic was NOT done in business hours, it was done in the evening after 9 and also on the weekends. And i know about credit ratings.
Dynamic my ass as well, i have not used my line since yesterday 7pm. Its still sitting on the rating.
Not fighting, as I totally agree with you, but I think according to many a ISP, business hours are from 6AM to midnight. So technically, it was in "business hours".
Fair enough, but still 29gb? I mean wtf. **** webafrica, i knew i should have just stuck with openweb lol.
Again, I do agree with you. Completely. But I think the new rule for any home uncapped product, is that NOTHING should be downloaded in "business hours".
The word uncapped really is being pissed on by ISPs LOL

That's compete and utter bull from them though. Industry standard is 9 to 5.
Im not even a download whore, i do like maybe 100-120Gb a month when im trying. This is just my streaming from my studies and netflix and odd gaming. Just gonna migrate to capped.
Care to explain how 29Gb of usage on an uncapped product gets me down rated to three stars??? You can expect a cancellation notice.
