Eskom litigates because it cannot pay – service provider

I was interested in reading the article until I reached the word "fraud".
Must every contract include some form of corruption?
These money grabbing, self enriching criminals will be the end of us.

Eskom and Telkom have both frequently tried to litigate their way out of binding arbitration and you really cannot do business with Eskom, SANRAL or Transnet without expecting them to **** you on dispute resolution. This is why any prospect of success for SEZs built with strong linking to the SOCs will need to be backed by proper international arbitration provisions.

Fortunately despite a strategy of deep pocket funded bull**** our SCA has given the prospects of affording "due deference" to arbitral awards a great deal of life in Telcordia (a good judgment illustrating everything that was {sometimes is} wrong with Telkom)

In the present case though it appears that the case that Eskom is litigating both because it can't pay its suppliers on contract and because it is trying to deal with several internal procurement handling problems.
 
Still I fail to see how a bunch of inspectors can bill over R1 billion.
I think there is corruption all over this, from both sides.
It probably got to this when a relationship was soured and someone didnt want to give their ex-friend so much money anymore.
 
BEE, enrich the bosses, the workers gets still the normal salary.
Would love to see what they did to get so much money.
Gravy train company.
