Vodacom Lumia 930

Please post here if you know of Vodacom stores that have Lumia 930 stock.
 
A Vodacom Call Centre agent told me today that they are expecting stock on 12 September
 
I hope the 12th is possible.
A rather unhelpful rep from Menlyn Vodashop said they may only get stock end September or October... after a lot of prompting for when ... so I doubt they actually know...
 
Lumia 930 has been removed from Vodacom site devices listing :wtf:

was there with 'out of stock' notice for the past week up until this morning.... now it's gone

Yeah the same thing happened last month. Was on Out of Stock for a while then come end of the month when it was supposedly going to be available then it disappeared.
FFS at this rate I'm gonna switch to the dreaded MTN.
 
Think it's the marketing and distribution.
They had the same issues in UK so can't be Vodacom.
But still, MTN has stock(so if it's a competition thing(as explained by one of the Vodacom social team guys) they are winning lol) so I might just not care and switch... eventhough I'd rather not.
 
My experience of MTN's network is rubbish** so I doubt I would consider that option.... but if Vodacom does not do something soon I may have to go over to the dark side....

**have an Afrihost MiFi device with 3Gig data - this is MTN - mostly it's useless regardless of where I try to use it.
 
Well I was told again by a call centre agent this morning that stock was being delivered today and that my phone will be delivered on Monday... I suppose I'll find out on Monday whether it actually materializes!

Did you order online or something that it will be delivered?

EDIT: Spoke to them again now.
They still don't know jack.

I was due for an upgrade at the beginning of August so when the phone showed up on their website I did the upgrade online and then promptly received an SMS saying that the device was on back-order...
 
Vodashop, The Grove (Pretoria) says that the Vodacom warehouse notified that delivery has been delayed.
May be available on the 17th....
 
Confirmation from Vodacom Head Office that stock will be arriving on 17 September... The wait continues :cry:
 
I’ve also placed my order on the 15th of August. They told me it’s on backorder until the 1st of September. I’ve been calling Vodacom online once a week. I really hope they will get it soon. I’m very happy with my Lumia 920 and don’t think the 930 will disappoint.
