Quiz Time

Who can name the details ??????

Year, track, car, driver ?

View attachment 153890

Ralf Schumacher (BMW Williams), crashing into the back of Rubens Barrichello (Ferrari). Melbourne 2002

EDIT: A bit hazy on the year, but am pretty sure of the rest of the details.

Nice idea for the quiz/trivia. Like it :)

Well done !

Your turn, whenever you have some time :)

Mika and Michael overtake on JV ?

But am still figuring out year and track.

Watch how Zonta is watching his mirrors. Must have been nervy.

Dammit but Mika was close. The last of the true greats, in my opinion. Mika and Michael.

Quite possibly one of the few times I've wanted to climb into my TV and beat someone. This moment pissed me off immensely!

Next history question:

The Jordans and Benettons are unmistakeable.
2001 Hockenheim start - I had to google, but that's Burti in a prost airborne.

staggy, are we getting warm ?

trying to do this without google

Sorry, had to attend to something.

You were warm, yes.

Hockenheim 2001. Luciano Burti (Prost) whacked the back of Michael's Ferrari and clipped Verstappen's Arrows. Michael's gearbox failed shortly after the start so he lost drive.

Burti had a few nasty shunts to end his stint in F1. Two races later contact with Irvine sent him into the wall at Blanchimont at nearly 300 kays an hour.
