Amazon to open physical store

Amazon.com Inc , the online juggernaut whose rapid expansion helped derail many a brick-and-mortar retail chain, may soon open its first physical store, at a prime site in Midtown Manhattan, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The hype of the future being mostly online business seems to be exposed as hype as one of the largest online businesses is also going brick and mortar. Or maybe it's just a gimmick.
 
For the most part this will probably be a pickup point for packages, sort of like a post office
