Blocking Islamic State’s online propaganda is the wrong answer to the wrong problem

ISIS is winning the propaganda war, it’s been said, and top brass from the European Commission, EU member state governments, and representatives of Google, Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft have met to discuss what to do about extremist online content. They have yet to announce their decision, but it’s likely to involve some form of content blocking.

Internet freedom is the whole point.

The world is seeing, first hand, how these animals operate. And thus, we are educated to their slanted and nutter views.

All censoring will do is make them more popular. These guys will not go away. They make more money from drugs etc and oil, than most small countries.

Interesting dilemma, but to me IS should be treated the same as child pornography. I hate censorship, but there are some things (beliefs) that are not fit for human consumption. Not many, but ISIL and kiddie porn both qualify.

Off with their heads!
