3,000 former Nashua Mobile Cell C subscribers blocked

A spokesperson for Altech Autopage has since responded to our questions about the migration and said they are contacting affected customers by SMS to clarify whether their accounts are paid up or not.

How the hell are you supposed to sms people whose cellphone accounts have been suspended?
 
It is an historic fact we will always find the uneducated/dumb consumer failing to learn that going through middle men just because of a particular phone/modem or the illusion of cheaper results in problems. This is born out of the many OP postings.

Had my number for almost 20 years and because of a number of SP buyouts eventually ended up with Nashua. Never had a problem with them except that I couldn't buy VC data top ups.

One of the lucky ones - the trouble probably starts when you want to leave.
 
I must say I had a generally good experience with Nashua

I can't believe that this 'soft lock' fiasco has actually happened - it's the 21st century and the handover has been months in coming.

There are a handful of customer experience basics that could be applied - to the benefit of the customers and to Altech Autopage.
