Eskom load shedding schedule to March 2015

Thanks! At least we have something to "predict" loadshedding.
 
maybe they should continue with loadshedding every day, to save up capacity, even if load shedding is not really 'needed' at some times.... BUT do it at nite then , say 12pm - 3am, in every erea? least amount of disruption no?
wont be huge savings, but better than nothing?

i still say they should cut the fn streetlamps in the day.... even if they are so g'damn stupid to say they need to keep the lights on during the day to 'help prvent cable theft'.... maybe saving electricity is more important right now, than saving the cables? let the police start doing their job for a chance?

and still need to get rid of the useless top management team, and minister of energy

Does the fact that this are is not on schedule for a black out mean anything?

Fri, was meant to be on, was off. Sat/Sun, was off an extra 90min each day. Then not meant to be off at least mon/tues.

At that is the stage 2 for our area....

So again

Why is everyone still worried about schedule when it has been proven beyond doubt now that they are completely inaccurate and irrelevant?
 
Never followed the schedule, every day for the last five days we've been off from 2pm till 6.30, my dad has never had a schedule and for the last oh I don't know fifteen years experiences regular power outages, to the extent this is perfectly normal for him.

They can only store so much in reserve, I get what you saying,
But once the reserve is full there is no need for load shedding.

Then they go back to square 1 when the demand is higher than they can produce... Load shedding starts again...

Barring local faults in our municipalities distribution network, the schedule has been 100% accurate for me.

Electricity is generated and there is no means to store it, usage nite is low and so makes no sense.

yeah but at least they have to produce a bit less, if they dont need to cater for nite usage... even if it is low capacity. as they have been doing recently, cut the power to reduce output, save resources, if not store electricity
loadshedding in our area is (has been) 20h30 - 22h30 (stage 2 anyways)... less disruptive to business (shops), mainly the restuarants and niteclubs getting the knock
but cutting TVs so early, and forcing people to go to bed, may have other negative results for the younger lot... surge in birthrate next year :D

Nope, not at all! We sat without electricity for a total of 9 hours on Saturday, none in the scheduled times. Friday sat without electricity for 6 hours, again not according to schedule.
 
I think with regards to schedules.. If your municipality sucks u get the bad end of the stick ;) mine has been spot on if it has happen
