No more Bing search for Facebook

Just another way to keep the user on FB as I'd assume all the results are purely facebook links now, whereas with bing results users sometimes ended up elsewhere on the web
 
Does anyone use FB's search for anything other than searching for specific people on Facebook?

95% of that 20% are probably mom and pop who googles something on bing because they don't know the difference and do not realise they can change the default search engine of their browser. The browser which, in turn, is still IE, because they don't know how they can install Firefox or Chrome.

OT: How much of FB did MS buy again? 8%?
 
Search functions is not what it used to be. To commercialized.

What do you guys use apart from google?
 
Well, Bing's now the default search engine for Firefox (via Yahoo) - so you win some, you lose some. The other day my FF searches just started coming back with a big "Yahoo" logo at the top. Surprised me a bit; I thought the Yahoo/FF deal would be for new browsers, not forcing all existing browsers to change the search provider. Not that it matters, for the vast majority of users Bing or Google return just as good/bad results.
 
Bing translate on Facebook is hilariously bad. I always translate my Afrikaans friend's posts just for a laugh.
