Humans – the weakest link

Hackers who forced Sony Pictures to abort release of a comedy about North Korea likely slipped past the entertainment titan’s defenses by exploiting a weak spot — humans.

It has always been the case. When people think "hack" they think "programmer/person using code to compromise weak systems", when in fact, 99% of any hack has a human factor

Could be that Hollywood is to blame for that. They glamourized hacking in the cheesy movie Hackers.

Could be any movie where hacking is involved, really.

On the North Korea involvement: Surely a country that is so isolated from modern electronics and the digital age cannot develop such highly skilled hackers artificially. If it were them, I am sure they employed a team of "commercial" hackers at a substantial fee.

I wonder if North Korea will move away from nuclear to cyber for its arsenal, if it really is them it would be a way better investment!

Why do you think they're isolated? Who told you. Did you travel to NK and PRC and see how isolated they are?

Time will tell. Or not.
