A few Speedtest results from my cellphone via Wifi (router is a TP Link AC750 supplied by Webafrica as part of the deal):

And I can watch 1080p vids on my tablet via Wifi, better half does the same on her tablet and no buffering or streaming issues at all and that is while my PC is downloading.
Was I a bit nuts going for the 100Mb line? Possibly.
Was it worth it? Definately.

I downloaded and updated 4 Steam games between midnight and 6am today. 145Gb of Download Plus data used up in those 6 hours. Not the best test of what the line can do, but I reckon it would have taken a week to do that with the old ADSL line.
I am seriously impressed with this line. Last night with the storm here I was still using the internet as normal. With the ADSL line, even a cloud in the sky made the connection wonky. But the FTTH just shrugged the storm off and said "Here, have some decent interwebz."

Apart from price and speed, line stability is reason why am going the fibre route too.
Tired of having to keep looking at my ADSL router to make sure the orange light is not blinking bcos of sync issues during windy/rainy days.

Just a general question here, how does the stability of an aerial fibre deployment compare to trenched fibre in windy/rainy conditions?

I did show a few friends last night how the pings are (they are online gamers) and they told me they are jealous and that I should play online games now. Sorry, not interested at all.

I have just been migrated from planned to available and the order with Web Africa is in! Now the waiting game begins.

12 Jan 2016 @ 14:00: Order confirmation received and I can see the product on the WA portal.
15 Jan 2016 @ 09:20: Followed up with Web Africa, no updates available and they are still waiting on Telkom. The have sent through an email to Telkom to request an update.
15 Jan 2016 @ 10:45: Received Telkom order number from Web Africa.
20 Jan 2016 @ 13:40: Email fired off to WA to ask for an update after numerous attempts to get an update from Telkom to no avail.
25 Jan 2016 @ 14:24: Still no update from WA or Telkom.
27 Jan 2016 @ 12:00: Called WA for an update. Feedback provided that the Telkom Order number provided was incorrect and that the order has not yet be confirmed by Telkom.

Don't hold your breath, I ordered mine on the 21st of December, heard nothing so far from Webafrica . I'm in Olympus not far from your area.
