Samsung Galaxy S6 – should you go contract or prepaid?

I love my s4 lte Google Edition. As long as I don't pickup a s6 edge, I should be happy with it until s7....

What about insurance?

I do see the assuption being made that you always will use 75/100 talk time + data...

Of course there is always ebucks and other methods to get discounted talk time / data

ps. wifi and im kinda works down that pricing

The price of the handset is beyond ridiculous. Not sure I can justify paying those numbers for something which isn't exactly the best out there. By the time my S4 gives up the ghost, I'll be looking at Sony or LG.

Ditto. My major gripe is price and reduced battery life on S6.

I am also on an S4 with an extra battery kit - LOVE never being tied to a charger cable.

S6, besides looking premium, offers me very little incentive to upgrade.

Just wait 6 months and see what you can buy it for, it will drop just like the S5 has. You will get a better deal and will not be tied into a 24 month contract. Those contracts which can be increased whenever vodacom wants to increase them.

Cant wait to get my hands on the S6. Do you guys know if you can use LTE on telkom mobile with the S6 as previously I was told by telkom they don't have a phone on contract yet that supports there LTE.

Insurance on the 64GB Edge :

Was told yesterday by Vodacom R250 pm . When claiming, excess 20% of price , which comes to R3000 , and increasing with further claims

Incredible Connection is outright expensive. You can order the Galaxy S6 for R8875 and the Galaxy S6Edge for R10 6225 from Orange which undercuts the contract prices. That S6 Edge must have gold plating with a few diamonds.

Note that the S6 Edge at Orange is the 32GB version. They do not stock the 64GB version.

Go for the note 4 ,you can easily get two full days of usage out of it if your screen brightness is not set to 100%.

But yes the s6 does look sweet,and the edge even better,although I doubt the edge part will be very functional or useful.

When watching the reviews the edge part seems boring and useless to me and doesn't seem worth it for the extra money.
