As an idea, does anyone with the maths know-how want to do a quick excel sheet where you input watts and it kicks out how long a 102ah battery is likely to last based on usage.

Would stop a lot of questions in here
 
The calculation assumes a battery with 24V and 100Ah capacity... So that is 2 x 12V 100Ah batteries in series.

A quick way to check this is to calculate the number of kWh that you need (just kW x hours) compared to the kWh of your battery.

So if you need 500W for 3 hours, you need 1.5 kWh.

A 12V 100Ah battery gives you 1.2kWh. But if you limit to 50% depth of discharge you only get half that - 600Wh.

I just put in some dummy data as an example, you can update the various variables and the time will auto update.

That Formula you use @100 DOD is accurate. I like Excel too. But yeah, you made it nice and simple....people that can actually use Excel will understand...those that don't are not worth the trouble anyway...

Not Eish etc...you know who and what I am on about....classic post from you. Clever and give the info..but just enough.

Intelligent people will understand. Others will be lost.

You are a frigging genius. I have to remember your approach :)
