Crash Skype by sending this message

The fix will be Skype blocking whole IP blocks ( /24 ) because one IP from that block is listed on spamlists..... as they are right now on some MWEB blocks of IP's

I don't get the thinking behind Skype though.

Microsoft Lync, Microsoft Skype and Microsoft Skype for Business all belong to the same company.

I have no idea why the contact list cannot be merged and have one product instead of many.

Dammit, just tried to send that string to a mate to see if it would work, and it crashed my Skype, not his!

Interesting, after restarting Skype it automatically applied some sort of update and it now it working fine. There's no record of that string in the chat history with my mate though. So it looks like it crashed Skype before it could even be sent.

Microsoft Lync = Microsoft Skype for Business since about last month.
Do you really want all your contacts mixed into one?

Skype for Business is just Lync 2015 both at a client and server level. It is upgrade to Lync 2013.
Lync/Skype for Business and Skype are still different products with different audience.
Lync/Skype for Business requires a the server where Skype (Consumer) is a Microsoft Solution. If using Skype for Business via Office365, it still has a hosted Server for the Office365 tenant and interconnect between Lync/Skype for Business servers is via federation. Each organisation controls there own Lync/Skype for Business environment.

Lync/Skype for Business uses Active Directory/Global Address List for contacts where Skype uses a global Skype directory. For privacy/security/corporate governance, many companies will never allow merging of contacts or publicly publishing their GAL

My workplace uses skype for business (Server hosted inhouse) and we allow merging of contacts.
I have the ability to add skype contacts to skype for business but since all our messages are logged in outlook and outlook is monitored, I choose not to :P
